Wesley Chapel residents have a packed slate of events between Thursday, July 30, and Wednesday, August 5, headlined by a three-night comedy run and a pair of outdoor markets competing for Saturday morning shoppers.
JJ Curry at Side Splitters
Comedian JJ Curry takes the stage at Side Splitters Comedy Club at the Grove, 6333 Wesley Grove Blvd., at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, through Saturday, August 1. Curry is an Air Force veteran from Dudley, Georgia, whose material draws on his small-town Southern roots, according to the Tampa Bay Beacons events listing. Two markets, one Saturday morning
Shoppers face a pleasant dilemma on Saturday, August 1. The Fresh Market at Wiregrass opens at 9 a.m. on Paseo Drive at The Shops at Wiregrass, 28211 Paseo Drive, with more than 50 vendors selling locally grown produce, take-home foods, artisan goods and eco-friendly products. The market runs until 1 p.m. and recurs every first and third Saturday.
A few miles east, the Downtown Saturday Market at Avalon Park Wesley Chapel, 4424 Friendly Way, runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with gifts, baked goods, home decor and local small businesses. It also meets the first and third Saturday of each month.

Rise and Shine Car Meet-Up — 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8, at Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel, 28739 State Road 54. Free coffee and breakfast for anyone displaying a vehicle, plus live music.
