Pasco County students head back to class Thursday, Aug. 13, according to Bay News 9. That makes this the final full week of summer for Wesley Chapel families, and the neighborhood's signature venues are sending the season off with a packed slate of events, according to the Tampa Bay Beacons.
The Market Elaine at The Grove: Friday, Aug. 7
The Grove at Wesley Chapel hosts its monthly first-Friday market from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at 6013 Wesley Grove Blvd. More than 150 vendors will set up alongside live entertainment and activities for all ages. The market returns the first Friday of each month.
Caribbean Night at Krate: Saturday, Aug. 8
DJ Q takes over Krate at the Grove from 7 to 11 p.m. with reggae, soca and calypso. The outdoor container park at 5862 Goldview Parkway features more than 30 restaurants, bars and shops. Caribbean Night runs every second Saturday.
Rise and Shine Car Meet-Up: Saturday, Aug. 8
Car enthusiasts can roll into Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel, 28739 State Road 54, from 9 to 11 a.m. Participants displaying a vehicle get free coffee and breakfast, plus live music. The meet-up is held every second Saturday.
Cornhole Tournament at Wiregrass: Tuesday, Aug. 11
The Shops at Wiregrass hosts its monthly cornhole tournament from 7 to 10 p.m. on Piazza Avenue. Entry is $10. Players can register online or on-site starting at 6:15 p.m., solo or with a partner, with prizes on the line.
Second Wednesday Night Markets at Wiregrass: Wednesday, Aug. 12
The Shops at Wiregrass closes out the week with its monthly night market from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at 28211 Paseo Drive. The center recently completed a revitalization of Center Court, adding large shade structures, updated lighting and additional seating around an enhanced fountain. Expect live music, food vendors, local makers and family activities.
Early voting opens: Saturday, Aug. 8, through Saturday, Aug. 15
New River Library, 34043 State Road 54, serves as a Wesley Chapel early voting site for the Tuesday, Aug. 18, primary. Polls are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The ballot includes a competitive Pasco County School Board race with 11 candidates across three seats, according to WUSF. District 1, which covers parts of Wesley Chapel and Land O' Lakes, is an open seat with no incumbent. Voters can check registration at pascovotes.gov.

B&B Theatres Wesley Chapel holds its Senior Social every Friday at 3 p.m. at 6333 Wesley Grove Blvd., offering free card games for the 50-and-older crowd with food and drinks available for purchase.
