Fresh Market at Wiregrass — Saturday, Aug. 15
More than 50 vendors line Paseo Drive at The Shops at Wiregrass from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Fresh Market, held the first and third Saturday of each month. Expect locally grown produce, take-home foods, artwork from local artists and eco-friendly products. Free to browse. The Shops at Wiregrass is at 28211 Paseo Drive.
Back to Wizarding School skate — Saturday, Aug. 15
AdventHealth Center Ice hosts its annual Back to Wizarding School themed skate from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The family-friendly night features wizard-inspired photo ops, party favors while supplies last, party lights and music from DJ Reign. Guests can grab Butterbeer-inspired drinks at the concession stand, according to the venue's event page.
Tickets are $22 online or $25 at the door. Cash is not accepted. Wizarding costumes and house colors are encouraged. AdventHealth Center Ice is at 3173 Cypress Ridge Blvd.
Hurricane Preparedness Talk — Tuesday, Aug. 18
Specialists from Pasco County Emergency Management, led by director Andy Fossa, will present a free hurricane preparedness and evacuation planning session from 6 to 7 p.m. at New River Library, 34043 State Road 54. The hour-long talk covers how to plan ahead as peak hurricane season continues through November.
Karaoke Night — Friday, Aug. 21
The Shops at Wiregrass Center Court hosts free Karaoke Night from 7 to 9 p.m. The revitalized Center Court, with its expanded open-air green space and shade structures, is the backdrop for the monthly event held every third Friday. Lawn chairs and blankets are recommended. Light bites and drinks are available from nearby eateries.
