The Wesley Chapel Black Chamber of Commerce is reviving its Cigar Social Networking Night, a monthly series that gives local business owners and professionals a low-key evening to swap ideas and build relationships over cigars.
The first gathering kicks off Saturday, Sept. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cigars International, 2691 Creek Grass Way, Lutz. The series will continue on the second Saturday of every month after that.
The chamber announced the series Aug. 4, calling it open to business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals and community leaders. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards. No registration fee is listed.
Inside the Venue: A 6,000-Square-Foot Lounge With Full Bar
The venue is a 6,000-plus-square-foot cigar lounge with more than 1,300 premium brands, a full-service bar and indoor and outdoor lounges, according to Florida's Sports Coast tourism site. Saturday hours run until midnight. Guests must be 21 or older to enter.
The Cigar Social adds an evening option to the chamber's programming calendar, which already includes the Morning Mingle, a free daytime networking event held at Signature Workspace in The Shops at Wiregrass.
Chamber's Founders on Its Mission to Support Minority-Owned Businesses
Founded by Darlene Hill, a 16-year Wesley Chapel resident and business owner, the chamber held its grand opening in late March. Hill told Bay News 9 at the opening why she started the organization.
"I am a business owner myself, so I know the challenges that entrepreneurs and business owners face with no support and no resources," Hill said in March.
Co-founding board member Chad Cooper told Bay News 9 in December 2025 that the chamber aims to ensure Black businesses in the community "have a seat at the table" while welcoming members of all backgrounds.
