Construction is advancing on the Whole Foods-anchored Wesley Chapel Station as the retail center's tenant lineup continues to grow at Bruce B. Downs and Aronwood boulevards.
Atlanta-based SJC Ventures is developing the 75,968-square-foot shopping center, which broke ground in late 2025. The first stores are expected to open in the second quarter of 2027.
Whole Foods Market will anchor the development. SJC's current leasing materials show the grocery store occupying about 40,100 square feet, while an adjacent Life Time fitness club is planned at about 84,280 square feet.
More restaurants and services join project
The latest SJC leasing plan shows a broader tenant lineup than was announced when construction began.
CAVA, Chipotle, PopUp Bagels, Naked Farmer and Piada are among the restaurants shown on the plan.
Other tenants include Petfolk, The Tox, Hair Cuttery, Pacific Dental, Teachers Credit Union and Aria Nail.
Several storefronts remain available, while other spaces are marked as pending deals.
The mix gives the development a heavy concentration of restaurants, health, wellness and everyday services.
$30 million loan backs construction
SJC Ventures secured a $30 million floating-rate construction loan from Seacoast Bank for Wesley Chapel Station.
The project is also part of a larger development partnership SJC announced in October 2025 with a global life insurance company. The joint venture launched with a $300 million equity commitment and a development pipeline projected at about $1 billion.
Wesley Chapel Station was among the initial projects included in that partnership.
SJC Ventures has not announced individual opening dates for the center's tenants. The developer has said the first businesses are expected to open during the second quarter of 2027.
