Six events fill Wesley Chapel venues the week of Sept. 3–9, from a 150-vendor night market at The Grove to a cornhole tournament at The Shops at Wiregrass.

Here is what's happening, drawn from listings compiled by Tampa Bay Beacons and event organizers.

Friday, Sept. 4

The Market Elaine returns to The Grove at Wesley Chapel from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The monthly first-Friday night market brings more than 150 vendors, live entertainment and activities for all ages to 6013 Wesley Grove Blvd.

The market runs each first Friday through the fall, with the next dates set for Oct. 2 and Nov. 6, according to the event's Facebook page.

Side Splitters Comedy Club at The Grove hosts stand-up comic Rio Paris at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Paris, originally from Tampa, has headlined at the Apollo Theater multiple times and co-starred in the film "What Tha Hell." The club is at 6333 Wesley Grove Blvd.

Saturday, Sept. 5

Fresh Market at Wiregrass runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Shops at Wiregrass, 28211 Paseo Drive. More than 50 vendors line Paseo Drive with locally grown produce, take-home foods, local art and eco-friendly products. The market runs every first and third Saturday.

Downtown Saturday Market at Avalon Park Wesley Chapel runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4424 Friendly Way. Vendors offer gifts, baked goods, home decor and goods from local small businesses. The market is held every first and third Saturday.

Tuesday, Sept. 8

Cornhole Tournament at The Shops at Wiregrass runs 7 to 10 p.m. on Piazza Avenue. Entry costs $10. Players can come solo or with a partner for a chance to win prizes. On-site registration opens at 6:15 p.m. The tournament is held every second Tuesday.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

2nd Wednesday Monthly Night Markets at The Shops at Wiregrass runs 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at 28211 Paseo Drive. The evening features live music, food, local makers and family activities.

Looking ahead

Several Wesley Chapel events follow later in September:

"Behind the Bottle" mixology series at Epperson Lagoon, 31885 Overpass Road, starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. Tickets are $50 and guests must be 21 or older.

Rise and Shine Car Meet-Up rolls into Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel, 28739 State Road 54, from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Participants displaying a vehicle get free coffee and breakfast.

Caribbean Night at Krate at the Grove runs 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12.

Harvest Market at The Grove hosts 60-plus vendors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.
