Tampa Joe's is finishing a new 5,000-square-foot restaurant at The Hub at Lexington Oaks in Wesley Chapel after closing its Tampa location on Anderson Road in March.

Owner Mike Goodwin is bringing the self-described "American Italian sports bar" to 26951 Halter Loop with seating for about 300 guests, an outdoor patio and a 20-by-7-foot video wall above the bar, The Wesley Chapel Loop reported Oct. 5. Additional TVs will fill the dining room for watching multiple games at once.

Move brings larger sports bar to Wesley Chapel

Goodwin, who also operates The Landing Bar and Grill, O'Brien's Irish Pub in Plant City, three BubbaKoo's Burritos locations and Sally O'Neal's Pizza in South Tampa, told Business Debut in April that the move followed an opportunity to sell the Anderson Road property.

He said the old location depended on movie theater traffic, while the Wesley Chapel site puts the restaurant in a retail and entertainment district where surrounding businesses better match the concept.

"The goal is the first or second week of July," Goodwin told Business Debut in April when asked about the opening timeline.

That target has passed, and no firm opening date has been announced.

Tampa Joe's built a following at its Anderson Road location around bike nights, classic car shows and game-day watch parties. The restaurant's Facebook page announced that the property had been sold and that March 2, 2026, would be the final day at that location.

$24 million Hub adds restaurants and entertainment

Plan review paperwork filed in March 2026 confirmed the new address inside The Hub at Lexington Oaks, a $24 million, roughly 40,000-square-foot mixed-use retail development near Wesley Chapel Boulevard and Lexington Oaks Boulevard.

Siblings Courtney Bissett-Hayes and Paul Bissett of Center Connect Development developed the project. The same company developed The Hub at Bexley off State Road 54 in Land O' Lakes.

Several Hub tenants are already open, including Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken, Headlines Barber Shop and The Clubhouse Golf Simulator, according to a local real estate blog. Other announced tenants include Cinnaholic, Saigon Pho Wesley Chapel, The Monk's Indian Fusion Cuisine, Farmer's Milk Café & Bakery, Hummus Republic and Brew Bar Self Pour.

The menu at the Wesley Chapel location will carry over fan favorites Goodwin highlighted to Business Debut, including bacon-wrapped beef tips with hollandaise sauce, pizza and wings. The menu also includes pastas, ribs, salmon, burgers, a tuna melt and a Cuban grouper sandwich with optional Cajun seasoning.

Expected hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, according to Goodwin's April comments to Business Debut. Those hours have not been reconfirmed ahead of the opening.
