Union Park residents could see up to $133,500 spent on bridge repairs after the community development district board reviews competing bids at its Wednesday meeting.
The Union Park Community Development District (CDD) Board of Supervisors meets Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Residence Inn Wesley Chapel, 2867 Lajuana Blvd., according to the district's posted agenda. The five-member board, chaired by Robert Smith, will take up repairs to the community's north and south bridges, security monitoring proposals and several maintenance contracts.
Two contractors submitted bids for the bridge work. Golf Coast Construction proposed $133,500, while Timber Intentions came in at $96,634. The agenda does not describe the scope of the repairs.
Security monitoring
The board will also weigh three security monitoring proposals. Weiser Security Service bid $6,280. ECS Integrations proposed $4,860 in equipment plus $85 per month for management. Prosegur Security submitted multiple options, including reusing existing poolhouse cameras for $5,723.99 plus $800.29 per month, installing new pool cameras for $15,149.08 plus $914.04 per month, or adding tot lot and bridge cameras for $12,729.42 plus $39.33 per month.
Resolution and other business
A version of the agenda labeled "v1" lists Resolution 2027-01, described as setting district objectives and goals, as a standalone business item for adoption. A second posted version of the agenda does not include the resolution. The district describes its agenda package as a working document with materials considered drafts.
The board will also consider pool monitor staffing proposals from Neptune and Signal. Dollar amounts for those bids do not appear on the agenda.
Other maintenance items on the table include pergola paver repairs, with bids ranging from $5,900 to $6,985.88, pool deck shower repairs bid at $5,500 to $5,998.97 and restroom floor painting at $2,986.87 to $3,200.
