Heritage Golf Group has bought Fox Hollow Golf Club in Trinity, giving the national operator three golf courses within 10 miles of each other in Pasco County.
The company announced the acquisition Oct. 26, purchasing the semi-private course at 10050 Robert Trent Jones Parkway from the Creighton family. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Fox Hollow joins TPC Tampa Bay and The Club at Cheval in Heritage's local holdings. The deal makes Fox Hollow Heritage's 51st property nationwide and its 14th in Florida, Tampa Bay Business & Wealth first reported.
For golfers who play Fox Hollow, the new owner said it has not announced changes to membership pricing, public tee-time availability or the club's semi-private structure.
Course plans and future upgrades
Heritage plans to start overseeding the course during its first week of ownership to improve conditions ahead of Florida's peak winter golf season. The company said it is evaluating longer-term renovations but has not disclosed a budget or identified specific projects. Future investment decisions will depend on the property's condition, its management team and member feedback, according to the company's announcement.
Jim Oliver, Heritage Golf Group's chief operating officer, said in a statement that the course's proximity to the company's two other Tampa Bay clubs made it "a natural addition" to the portfolio.
"The Robert Trent Jones Sr. course has character and the strong architectural foundation we look for in a golf course," Oliver said. "We are grateful to the Creighton family for entrusting us with the opportunity to build on their legacy."
Fox Hollow's history and amenities
The Creighton family opened Fox Hollow in 1994. The par-71 layout is one of the final courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., whose work shaped championship golf architecture across the country. The course has appeared on Golf Digest's list of Florida's top 75 public-access courses. Heritage's announcement says the course has five sets of tees.
The property includes a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse, 25 practice hitting bays, a chipping green, a practice bunker and a 10,800-square-foot putting green. The club offers lessons and clinics led by PGA and LPGA teaching professionals.
Heritage's current ownership group took control of the company in January 2020 and has been on an acquisition streak. Fox Hollow is the company's fourth purchase in four months. Heritage acquired The Club at Cheval in April 2025 and previously announced plans to improve that club's course, clubhouse and fitness center.
With Fox Hollow and TPC Tampa Bay both open to the public, Heritage said the cluster lets it market the area to traveling golfers. Members can also access other Heritage properties through the company's Heritage Plus Network.
No public comment from the Creighton family appeared in the company's announcement or in published coverage of the sale.
