Cinnaholic, the plant-based cinnamon roll franchise featured on “Shark Tank” in 2014, opened its doors Friday, Aug. 21, at The Hub at Lexington Oaks in Wesley Chapel.

The bakery at 27073 Halter Loop marks the second Tampa Bay location for co-owners Thiago and Juliana Mendes, who also operate the Cinnaholic on South Howard Avenue in South Tampa. The couple signed the Wesley Chapel lease in early April 2025 after their first store's success, Thiago Mendes told VoyageTampa in an April 2025 interview.

“With our success in South Tampa, we are now able to continue our expansion project,” Mendes said at the time. “Just two weeks ago, we signed a leasing contract for our second Cinnaholic store here in the Tampa Bay area, this time in Wesley Chapel.”

The concept is build-your-own. Customers pick a freshly baked cinnamon roll, choose from more than 20 frosting flavors and add up to five toppings, according to The Wesley Chapel Loop. Best-selling signature rolls include the Cookie Monster, Campfire S'mores, Caramel Apple Pie and the Old Skool, a classic roll with vanilla frosting. The full menu also features brownies, cookies, edible cookie dough and bite-sized Baby Buns. Every item is 100 percent plant-based, dairy-free and egg-free.

Opening-day customers lined up for $3 rolls between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., limited to one per person, in-store only, with a maximum of three toppings. Regular hours going forward are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with online ordering and curbside pickup available, according to a post from the adjacent Sentosa Lexington Oaks community.

Cinnaholic joins a growing tenant roster at The Hub at Lexington Oaks, a $24 million, 40,000-square-foot mixed-use retail village at Wesley Chapel Boulevard and Lexington Oaks Boulevard near I-75. The six-building project is developed by siblings Courtney Bissett-Hayes and Paul Bissett of Center Connect Development, the same team behind The Hub at Bexley, according to Hallway Home.

Other tenants include Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken, Headlines Barber Shop, The Clubhouse Golf Simulator, La Creación Bistro, Hummus Republic, Lexington Nail Bar and Pet Wants. Additional planned tenants include Saigon Pho Wesley Chapel, The Monk's Indian Fusion, Farmer's Milk Café & Bakery, Brew Bar Self Pour, Tampa Joe's and Urban Crunch.

Founded in 2010, Cinnaholic now has locations across the country. Florida outposts include South Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Boca Raton and a St. Petersburg store that opened earlier in 2026.
