Pasco County Schools will bring its annual school choice expo to Cypress Creek High School in Wesley Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The free Pasco Pathways event at 8701 Old Pasco Road runs 5 to 8 p.m.
Representatives from schools across the county will be on hand to walk families through options for elementary, middle and high school students, according to the Tampa Bay Beacons.
Programs on display include career and technical education tracks, industry certifications, magnet schools and pathways geared toward college or military service. Families can also sit in on information sessions led by educators covering the Pasco Pathways application process and enrollment deadlines.
Food trucks will be on site.
A second expo takes place the night before, Monday, Nov. 9, at Gulf High School in New Port Richey, also from 5 to 8 p.m.
Superintendent John Legg said in a district news release that the expos are designed to help families match students with the right program across the district's menu of specialized options. Families can sign up for breakout sessions in advance on the district's expo registration page. For general questions, the district directed families to public information officer Jessica Meek at [email protected].
Wesley Chapel High School, Wiregrass Ranch High School and Cypress Creek High School are all listed among the schools represented at the expo, according to the district's event page. Dedicated magnet schools such as Wendell Krinn Technical High School and Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation will also have representatives present.
