Pasco County voters who need a ride to the polls on Nov. 3 can board any GoPasco bus for free.

Pasco County Public Transportation, known as GoPasco, will provide free bus rides to polling locations on Election Day, as first reported by WTSP. The service runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Riders must show a valid voter information card to ride at no cost.

The free rides are available only on Election Day. They are not offered during the early voting period, which runs through Saturday, Oct. 31.

GoPasco ran the same program for the Aug. 18 primary election, according to a statement from the agency. GoPasco Director Jannina Elkin said in that statement that transportation should not be a barrier to voting and that the agency is proud to help ensure every citizen can reach the polls. The program is a partnership between GoPasco and the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections.

Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley called the partnership an example of good government in the same statement.

Wesley Chapel voters who prefer to cast ballots before Nov. 3 have three local early voting sites, according to the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections:

  • New River Branch Library, 34043 Wesley Chapel Blvd.
  • Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus, 3021 Sports Coast Way
  • Wesley Chapel District Park, 7727 Boyette Road

All Pasco County voters may vote at any early voting location. Sites are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Voters must present photo and signature identification when voting early. Those without proper ID may vote a provisional ballot. Voters with address updates can call the elections office at 800-851-8754 or update their record online at PascoVotes.gov before heading to the polls.
